Refund Policy

Overview

At Sailex Host, we are committed to providing reliable, high-quality web hosting solutions and outstanding customer service. We understand that sometimes things may not work out as expected, and we strive to make our refund process as transparent and fair as possible. Please take a moment to read our refund policy in full before making a purchase.

1. General Refund Policy

All payments to Sailex Host are non refundable (unless covered by 7 day Money Back Guarantee).

Our money back guarantee does not apply to purchases of Domain Names, ID Proctection or SSL certificates, once purchased we cannot cancel them.

To request a refund, you must submit a service cancellation request through by opening a support ticket via your Sailex host client area within the time stipulated in this Refund Policy for the relevant service you wish to cancel.

  • *Service(s) must be cancelled before a refund can be issued
  • *You will not be entitled to a refund if your domain name has been flagged as suspicious, is considered to be registered for improper use, or is registered in breach of our Terms of Service or .
  • *You will not be entitled to a refund if your service is suspended or terminated as a result of a breach of our Terms of Service.
  • *You will not be entitled to a refund if your service is downgraded.
  • *All eligible refunds will be automatically credited to your client account with Sailex host.
  • *Money refunded into your client account can be used at a later date to pay for other products and services.
  • *You can view your credit balance by logging into your client account and checking your notification section on your client area dashboard.
  • *If you have requested a cash refund, Sailex host will only give such a refund where the account details you have provided for the refund are an exact match with that on your profile with Sailex host. In event of any discrepancy in the account details, an eligible refund will only be made into your client account with Sailex host.
  • *All deposits made into the Wallet are not refundable and cannot be withdrawn.
  • *No portion of your Wallet Balance may be transferred to another Sailex host account.
  • *This Refund Policy for Sailex host Wallet may be amended from time to time.
  • *The 7-day money-back guarantee applies only to first-time signups. If you've had an account, cancelled, and signed up again, or opened a second account, you won't be eligible for a refund.
  • *The request must be made within 7 calendar days of the service activation.
  • *The account must be in good standing and not be in violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
  • *The refund request must be made through our official support channels (e.g., support ticket, email).

2. Overpayment

If we become aware that you have overpaid for any product or service, we will automatically credit the amount of that overpayment to your Sailex Host account where you can use it to pay for other products or services at a later date. You will be able to see this credit by logging into your account and going to the Notification section on your client area dashboard.

If you wish for an overpayment to be refunded to your bank account, you must send a request for a refund by opening a support ticket via your Sailex Host client area. The request must give required details including the invoice number for which the overpayment was made, date of payment, method of payment (including, where applicable, bank details from which payment was made) and amount of overpayment.

Once we have received your request, it will be dealt with in accordance with this Refund Policy.

3. Non-Refundable Products and Service

Certain products and services are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

a. Domain Name Registrations and Renewals

Domain names are registered through third-party registrars, and all domain sales are final. This includes:

  • New domain registrations
  • Domain transfers
  • Domain renewals
  • Premium domain purchases

Please ensure that the domain name is correctly entered before finalizing your purchase. Once processed, domain name registrations are immediate and irreversible.

b. SSL Certificates

All purchases of SSL certificates are non-refundable. SSL certificates are issued by third-party certificate authorities, and once an SSL certificate has been issued or re-keyed, it cannot be refunded. Verify your CSR and domain details before purchase.

c. Third-Party Services

Products and services provided through or in partnership with third-party vendors, including but not limited to:

  • Website builder tools
  • Website templates/themes
  • Email marketing tools
  • Licensing fees (e.g., cPanel, WHMCS, Softaculous)
  • Backup solutions powered by third parties

These are subject to the policies of the respective provider and are not eligible for refunds through Sailex Host.

3. Renewal Payments

Renewal payments for hosting services, domains, and other subscriptions are non-refundable. It is your responsibility to ensure timely cancellation if you no longer wish to use a service.

We send multiple renewal reminders via email. Please ensure your contact details are up to date to avoid unwanted charges.

4. Cancellation of Services

Cancellation requests need to be placed via the client dashboard by clicking on My services, then on Manage and then on the Request cancellation button. Cancellation requests sent via e-mail will not be considered legitimate and you will still be billed for the Services until a legitimate cancellation request is placed. Cancellation requests may take up to 14 days to be completed.
Domain names enter redemption period 30 days after the expiration date. The cost to recover and renew a domain name which is in redemption is $90.

  • No refunds are issued for cancellations made after the initial 7-day window.
  • Partial refunds are not issued for unused time.
  • Services terminated for policy violations will not be refunded.

5. Promotional Pricing and Free Products

If your hosting plan included a free domain name, and you request a refund within the 14-day window, the cost of the domain will be deducted from your refund. You will retain ownership of the domain and may transfer it elsewhere.

Promotional pricing is not extendable to new purchases following a refund or cancellation.

6. Chargebacks and Dispute

Initiating a chargeback or dispute without contacting us first may lead to immediate suspension or termination of services.

We take chargebacks seriously and will contest them with supporting documentation. If a charge appears incorrect, contact our billing team immediately at billing@sailexhost.com.
